Spb Survey: an Insider's Take on Mobile Software Analytics

Spb Software, world's leading mobile software developer, invites all mobile users to participate in its fifth annual Spb Survey. The Spb Survey is a mobile software industry report that identifies the changing user profiles, mobile device preferences, and handset use cases. Spb Software will release a report on the results of its fifth annual Spb Survey in the beginning of December 2008.

Issued by a mobile software usability expert and a recognized brand on the consumer market, Spb Survey reaches out to mobile users directly, bypassing the prism of mobile operators and professional analytical houses. This year's survey has a more compact structure, new questions, and is supported by eXpansys, the world's leading retailer of smartphones and handheld devices with wireless connectivity. A few lucky, randomly picked Spb Survey participants will receive valuable 'thank you' gifts, such as a Windows Mobile device or software by Spb.

Spb Software invites all mobile users to spend a few moments and take the Spb Survey here:

MobiForms Mobile Development Tool Now Supports Wireless Access To SQL Server

The latest version of UK sourced mobile development tool MobiForms 4.06 now includes support for wireless PDA access to SQL Server databases. Following the recent slide in the value of the UK Pound MobiForms also offers a significant price reduction for US and European customers.

With MobiForms is it now possible to remotely connect to most industry standard databases including Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, IBM DB2, SQLite, HSQLDB and MySQL. Alternatively for off-line local storage MobiForms runs with a range of PDA databases. The latest version of MobiForms also includes a free copy of the open-source HSQLDB database for server, standalone or mobile database applications, complementing the MobiForms Developer tool and the Mobiforms runtime interpreter. MobiForms offers all the tools in one "box" for the creation and deployment of any type of mobile application - from surveys to field service, from signature capture to bar coding.

According to the project manager from a UK based CCTV installer  "We were attracted to MobiForms because it offered us the ability to quickly create one version of the same application that would run on multiple types of PDA with no limits of the number of users - all included in a one off developer licence."

MobiForms is a rapid application development tool for building mobile applications for just about any wireless platform including Tablet PC, Pocket PC, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Smartphone, Symbian and Palm. MobiForms is aimed at novice or expert users alike who do not want to spend hours writing complex code like Java or C++. Instead professional mobile applications can be created and deployed in minutes using the intuitive MobiForms drag and drop interface, with the data tied seamlessly back to corporate systems.

MobiForms costs £99 UK Pounds. Following the recent slide in the value of the UK Pound MobiForms now costs $158 US Dollars or E125 Euros - From recent highs of $210 US Dollars and E150 Euros saving of up to 33%.
