Spb Confirms the Status of Leading Windows Mobile Software Vendor

Spb Software House, a Windows Mobile software vendor, restates its leading position on the consumer market in the terms of industry experts and professionals. November 2007 has seen Spb Software House do what no other Windows Mobile software vendor has done before: claim 11 "Winner" titles in the Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine's Best Software Awards 2007, and dominate Handango's Third Quarter Yardstick.

Competing against over fifteen thousand nominated software products, Spb software was voted best in 11 categories of Best Software Awards 2007 by a multinational and voluntary Board of Experts, formed from prominent and unbiased members of the Windows Mobile community. Such high ranking has not been achieved by any other Windows Mobile software vendor in the seven-year-long history of the Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine's awards.

According to Hal Goldstein, the Publisher of Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine, the annual awards process is called on to help Windows Mobile users navigate the vast ocean of the available software and select titles that best suit their needs. "We are honored to have been awarded, and proud to have five Spb products in the list of top ten best-selling Windows Mobile Pocket PC titles in the latest Handango's Yardstick. We are only able to make such good software thanks to the Spb community, the people who chose to be our customers, who give us feedback, who tell us what makes better software," admits Vassili Philippov, Spb Software House COO.  (Source: Press Release)

Phatware Announces PhatNotes for Outlook Edition

Special Version of Award-Winning Notes Organizing Software for Windows Mobile Smartphones Allows Synchronization with Multiple Outlook Notes Folders

PhatWare Corporation, a leading provider of software products and professional services for mobile and desktop computers, announces today the release of PhatNotes for Outlook Edition. PhatNotes is the award-winning notes organizer software for Microsoft Windows based desktop computers and Windows Mobile smartphones. The new version allows the synchronization of multiple Outlook notes folders with the PhatNotes application on the mobile device.

PhatNotes 5, launched in September, no longer supports direct synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, and the company has received numerous requests from existing and new PhatNotes users to continue offering this feature. PhatNotes for Outlook edition has been created to answer these requests by allowing synchronization directly with Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later.

PhatNotes for Outlook includes the simplified version of PhatNotes for both Windows Mobile Standard (non-touch screen) and Professional/Classic (touch screen) devices. Because Microsoft Outlook does not support password protection and text formatting, these features were removed from PhatNotes for Outlook to provide more reliable synchronization. Further, the PhatNotes desktop software was replaced with Outlook notes synchronization software that supports ActiveSync 4.5 or later on Windows XP and Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 on Windows Vista.

"Based on the survey that we conducted last month, there is a large number of smartphone users interested in a simple and inexpensive Windows Mobile notes application that synchronizes with Outlook," Said Stan Miasnikov, president of PhatWare Corp. "We are glad to be able to offer a simple and affordable PhatNotes for Outlook edition which accomplishes this purpose for only half the price of PhatNotes 5."

PhatNotes 5.0 supports mobile devices powered by Windows Mobile 2003 software or later and Outlook 2000 or later running on Windows 2000 or later.

PhatNotes Availability and Pricing

PhatNotes for Outlook version 5.1 is available now at the low price of only $19.95. A free 30-day trial version of PhatNotes for Outlook can be downloaded from the PhatWare web site at www.phatware.com. No special upgrade pricing is offered for this product.  (Source: Press Release)
