Makayama introduces Smartphone Media Studio

Four times faster conversions from DVD to Smartphone, Makayama Interactive today introduces Smartphone Media Studio. In less than 45 minutes a DVD can be transferred to a Windows Mobile powered smartphone. But also home movies, downloaded films and TV-series can be put on a cellphone using only two clicks, making it the fastest and easiest product available on the market. It supports 42 models.

The software installs an encoding package on a Windows XP computer, users pick any video file from their harddrive, CD or DVD and the Smartphone Media Studio turns it into a compressed movie file, which will play on the provided MPEG4-mediaplayer on the Smartphone from a memorycard. The headset or the built-in speaker can be used to listen to the sound. Subtitled and foreign language DVDs are also supported.

Smartphone Media Studio is the fastest software on the market that provides direct DVD-to-Smartphone transfers. The software (successor to Mobile Media Maker) is 400% faster than other products and it adds greater flexibility to the user interface. Smartphone Media Studio is targeted at mobile media consumers, frequent travellers and parents who would like to keep the kids happy in the back of the car.
The software captures all content (AVI, MPEG1, DivX, XVID, VOB, ASF) on all drives (harddrive, CD, DVD, removable) and encodes it to MPEG4.

WebIS Mobile Sync

What does WebIS Mobile Sync do for me?

WebIS Mobile Sync is by itself just a client to the Plaxo service. The Plaxo service is a central repository for your PIM data online. Install the desktop client for Outlook, Thunderbird, e2xo for Macintosh, or other forthcoming plugins to sync your contacts any time you have an internet connection on your device. Even if you currently only use Outlook and ActiveSync - consider the ability to sync certain categories with a home desktop and certain categories with a work desktop! Consider the superior synching matching abilities of the Plaxo service compared to ActiveSync. Consider having your contacts always updated directly from other Plaxo members!  (Source: Press Release)
